Job summary

YMCA Easton is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the Easton Branch's maintenance and custodial operations. Lead preventative maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC/plumbing/electrical systems, and ensure high safety standards. Manage staff performance, training, and emergency coverage, while ensuring clean, safe facilities.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, experience with building management, and a commitment to the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or trade/vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical repairs and custodial procedures or equivalent training.
• Previous supervisory experience necessary.
• Must be on call 24/7.
• Certified Pool Operator certification required.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications maintained.
• Massachusetts driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Manual labor including cleaning, landscaping and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs for all areas.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment and maintain inventory of repair items.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Oversee custodial operations to maintain a clean, safe facility.
• Manage pool facilities operations and pool chemical safety.
• Maintain facility grounds and supervise external contractors as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Prepare and manage facility budgets and costs.
• Coordinate volunteer and community-related facility activities.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree and/or trade/vocational training preferred
