Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Facility Services Manager to oversee maintenance, housekeeping, renovations, and safety for the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln, NE. This role directs building maintenance staff and custodial teams and ensures projects meet deadlines and quality standards.

The position requires a high school diploma with four years of related experience, plus supervisory and budgeting responsibilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with four years of experience in building construction and remodel, including two years of preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Experience in training, motivating, and supervising staff; custodial and customer service experience.
Working knowledge of electrical, steam, HVAC/Refrigeration, and plumbing repair; ability to develop and manage a budget.

Responsibilities

Oversees all care, maintenance and project needs for the Lied Center for Performing Arts, including supervision of building maintenance and custodial staff.
Plans and budgets for renovations, upkeep, repairs, furnishing replacements and life-safety projects.
Coordinates permits, schedules work with contractors, ensures regulatory compliance and timeliness.
