Job summary

The County of San Diego is seeking a Facilities Support Manager to oversee maintenance and operations across county facilities. You will supervise a multi-disciplinary team, manage service contracts, and drive improvements in building performance, safety, and reliability.

Reporting to the Chief of Departmental Operations, you will coordinate with construction teams and ensure compliance with BAS standards, energy targets, and preventative maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, public administration or related field.
• Five years of facilities operations experience with three at a management level.
• Strong leadership, safety, and contract oversight skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates a multi-disciplinary staff in life safety, maintenance, and repairs.
• Manages service contracts, energy management, and fire/life/safety programs.
• Develops preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance plans.
• Coordinates with construction teams to ensure BAS and building standards compliance.
