Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Facility Helper to assist the Engineering team with the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of building systems, mechanical equipment, and infrastructure. You will respond to service calls, escort vendors on site, and collaborate with other departments to keep the facility safe and compliant.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of facilities experience, with the ability to lift 50 lbs and a valid California Class C license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of facilities experience or related trades experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid state Class C driver's license.
• Demonstrated proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and BAS.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and assist engineering team with building systems operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Escort vendors on site and coordinate with other departments to ensure safety and compliance.
• Manage lighting inventory and perform basic electrical tasks like bulb and ballast changes.
• Perform general plumbing repairs and maintenance and assist with HVAC tasks.
• Support with painting, carpentry, and minor repairs as needed.
• Record utility meter readings and create work orders in the CMMS.
• Assist with event set-ups and site inspections as required.
