Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii is seeking a Senior Manager of Facilities & Operations to lead day-to-day operations of all physical assets at the center in Ewa Beach. You will oversee building systems, utility infrastructure, and Facilities staff, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation.

This role requires extensive hands-on facilities management, supervisory experience, and strong budgeting and vendor management skills to support the center’s mission and programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years hands-on facilities maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Five+ years managing facilities similar in size/complexity (education, healthcare, K–12, community centers, or resorts).
• Knowledge of repair, maintenance, construction techniques across trades.
• Working knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water, landscaping).
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints and estimate repair/construction costs.
• Experience managing service contracts, vendor performance, and warranty compliance.
• Fiscal responsibility in budgeting for facility operations.
• Strong English communication; valid driver’s license.
• MS Office, CMMS, and building automation systems with preventive maintenance experience.
• Preferred: BS in Engineering; experience with HVAC and pool filtration systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise facilities staff including Housekeeping and Security teams.
• Provide staff training and development; oversee onboarding.
• Make technical decisions across trades ensuring safe, efficient operations.
• Manage work orders and preventive maintenance programs.
• Procure materials and manage inventory within budget.
• Oversee contractor selection, performance, and warranty processes.
