Job summary

Clackamas County seeks an experienced Facilities Operations Supervisor to lead maintenance operations and ensure safe, functional County buildings. You will supervise staff, plan preventive and emergency work, coordinate with contractors, and monitor budgets.

The role requires strong technical knowledge and a focus on safety and public service. You will oversee multiple facilities, manage the Z-One Mobile CMMS, and work with various County departments to deliver reliable infrastructure for the

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience maintaining, repairing, or operating commercial buildings and related systems.
• Two (2) years of experience leading or supervising staff.
• Experience in asset management, facilities management, and project management.
• Knowledge of codes, regulations, and laws related to construction, ADA, hazardous materials, and wage/hour requirements.
• Knowledge of commercial building systems and maintenance practices (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Ability to promote safe work practices and comply with safety requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to read plans, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ability to provide after-hours emergency response; readiness for on-call work.
• Ability to support critical county operations during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, and evaluate facilities maintenance staff; conduct safety training and development.
• Manage Facilities Management programs related to safety, risk, and vehicle maintenance; oversee CMMS and work orders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across facilities systems; liaison with regulators and contractors.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and emergency maintenance; prioritize repairs and capital projects.
• Monitor budgets, prepare cost estimates, and plan equipment and capital improvements.
• Coordinate contractors, review bids and invoices, and ensure service quality.
