Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, reviews, and participates in the work of staff responsible for facilities and grounds maintenance and housekeeping of the Watauga Campus.
• Provides leadership and guidance to all facility operations workers for maintenance of operational systems including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
• Participates in the selection of maintenance staff; provides training; enforces discipline procedures.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical system maintenance.
• Operates equipment and performs preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Conducts equipment and system inspections and maintains storage of parts; manages events access outside normal hours.
• Coordinates groundskeeping tasks including snow removal, mowing, trash pickup, and planting.
