Qualifications

• Five years of full-time experience in facilities maintenance or related field.

• Ability to supervise and train staff effectively.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and participate in facilities and grounds maintenance for the Watauga Campus.
• Provide leadership for maintenance staff across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Monitor staff training and enforce performance standards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting.
• Ensure safety practices and secure facilities for events.
• Respond to inquiries from the public, vendors, and contractors.
• Operate maintenance equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Conduct monthly equipment and system inspections.
• Maintain storage parts and arrange furniture as needed.
• Manage snow/ice removal and grounds keeping tasks.
