Job summary

Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is seeking a Facilities Lead to support daily operations of the rural central office in Centreville, AL. You will oversee maintenance tasks, coordinate with vendors, and respond to urgent facility needs, ensuring timely, safe, and compliant work.

The ideal candidate is proactive, independent, and capable of guiding a facilities team while partnering with leadership to maintain high-quality environments across Cahaba locations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or overseeing other employees is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with employees, vendors and leadership.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities and maintenance work is completed by assigned deadlines.
• Handle routine maintenance issues and escalate when needed.
• Identify potential facilities issues early to prevent escalation.
• Inspect completed work for quality and safety standards.
• Assist with training and guiding facilities team members.
• Own assigned facilities projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate employee schedules and work assignments as needed.
• Serve as point of contact for vendors when leadership is unavailable.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
• Maintain facilities records, logs and documentation.
• Communicate updates and progress to leadership regularly.
• Support Cahaba locations to maintain safe, functional facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
