Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care's Environmental Services department is seeking a Facilities Services Coordinator for second shift to oversee facilities operations and coordinate services to maintain a safe, clean environment on the Main Campus.

Responsibilities include supervising 18–35 staff, organizing work flows, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely repairs and supplies. Strong supervisory experience and facilities management background are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Three years supervisory and facilities management experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises facilities functions including cleaning, maintenance, warehousing and environmental quality.
• Schedules and directs the workflow of 18–35 facilities services staff on second shift.
• Plans procedures and work methods to improve productivity and service methods.
• Interviews, hires or trains staff; evaluates performance and conducts disciplinary actions.
• Responds to internal and external customer requests related to services delivery.
