Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead a multifaceted operations team across housing, guest services, and support facilities at Starbase, TX. You will manage vendors, plan strategic site improvements, and ensure safe, efficient living and working environments for 1,000+ residents and critical Starship activities.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong budgeting and contract skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety in a remote frontier setting, with up to 85%

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency diploma required.
• 3+ years of professional facilities management experience.
• 1+ years of experience leading a team or project.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or facilities management preferred.
• Budget management, vendor negotiation, and experience with large-scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team handling all facilities operations to deliver zero unplanned disruptions for 1,000+ residents and Starship operations.
• Manage third-party vendors to enforce standards, optimize contracts, and drive cost savings.
• Develop and execute site improvement projects aligned with business goals.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and installations across housing, lodging, venues, recreation, and school facilities.
• Design preventive maintenance programs for launch and support facilities.
• Monitor construction projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with zero impact on operations.
• Coach and inspire maintenance technicians and trades professionals.
• Prioritize tasks and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
