Job summary

Groundworks New Mexico is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Lead to troubleshoot and diagnose facility issues and oversee maintenance across all building systems. You will coordinate with senior leadership on building activity and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

The role requires a hands-on, self-driven professional with broad knowledge of commercial building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance, facilities, or hands-on work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Hands-on, self-starter with aptitude for systems, mechanics, and structural components of commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose facility issues.
• Oversee building projects, maintenance, and repair of all facility systems, assets, and site improvements.
• Manage all preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate with the Director of Operations and Program Director on facility activity in respective buildings.
• Guide operations on upkeep and maintenance tasks, repair/replacement decisions, and vendor contact/oversight.
• Develop and maintain written emergency procedures.
• Respond to calls on a 24-7 basis to promptly resolve urgent facility needs.
• Evaluate conditions and identify potential issues, repairs, and facility projects.
• Ensure facilities meet regulations, environmental, health, and security standards.
