Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a Central Shops Area Coordinator to support maintenance services across campus shops. You will assist supervisors with planning, prioritization, and scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating resources and materials to ensure work is scoped and completed efficiently.

The role emphasizes safe, expeditious service with minimal disruption to teaching and research, using the AIM CMMS to manage work orders, backlog, and preventive maintenance

Qualifications

• Must be able to solve problems and take initiative to provide services.
• Must measure cost and performance and keep accurate records.
• Strong communication skills and ability to report to management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Central Shops Supervisors with planning, prioritization and scheduling of maintenance across campus shops.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance work to minimize disruption to teaching and research.
• Support work order flow and backlog management using the CMMS (AIM) and help ensure safe, efficient service delivery.
