Job summary

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine on the Philadelphia Campus seeks an Operating Engineer to ensure safe, efficient operation of campus machinery, including boilers, furnaces, chillers, and water systems. You will monitor equipment and perform routine maintenance, sometimes with third-party contractors.

The role requires at least three years of maintenance or facilities experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; a Philadelphia Stationary Engineer License is required.

• Philadelphia Stationary Engineer License required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, furnaces, and chiller equipment.
• Adjust controls and valves to maintain desired temperatures and pressures.
• Maintain logs of readings and fuel consumption.
• Perform routine and ad hoc maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to emergencies on campus.
