National Experienced Workforce Solutions is seeking a Facilities Mentor for the National Park Service program in Fort Davis. The enrollee will review and advise on the structure and processes of the Facility Management Office, drawing on years of leadership experience to enhance operations and capacity.

The role emphasizes analyzing organizational structure, responsibilities of senior facilities leadership, and the park's long-range project plans while guiding improvements in workplace culture

Qualifications

• HS/GED Degree in Facility management or related field with minimum additional experience of 15 year(s) in Facilities Management leadership within the NPS.
• Experience with NPS systems (FMSS, FBMS, CESS, PMIS, AMRS, etc.)
• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current structure of the Facilities offices and make recommendations for improvements.
• Analyze and educate roles and responsibilities of the Chief of Facilities and current processes to streamline or improve.
• Analyze the park's 5-year project plan and propose improvements.
• Analyze and provide recommendations on workplace culture.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. Duties

The enrollee will provide analysis and recommendations on the structure and processes and procedures of the Facility Management Office to improve operations and maximize the organization?s capacity and effectiveness. Additionally, enrollees will use their experience to provide recommendations on workplace culture, helping the park to ensure a transparent, supportive, empowering culture within the division
