Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky in Glasgow, KY is seeking a Mechanical Maint & Operations Tech I to perform installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and related systems. The role supports a state facility and participates in on-call rotations, with opportunities for overtime.

Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems is required; education is NONE.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems and related equipment, including all kitchen and laundry equipment. Maintains all electrical code compliance and paperwork.
• Utilizes and maintains the maintenance of mechanical equipment utilized in the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, painting equipment, carpentry work, grounds maintenance to include: mowers, weed eaters, edger's etc. Participates in On‑Call maintenance rotation.
• Assists in maintenance and repair of electrical plumbing and sewage operations. Keeps basic records of maintenance and provides technical assistance in maintenance and operations.
• Attends all training sessions as indicated.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
