About the job:
The Facilities Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for all mechanical infrastructure/ systems, existing and new, especially to include design, coordination, installation, and auditing new and existing Fume-Dust collection and ventilation systems ensuring operating efficiency, proper maintenance, and compliance with all internal/external regulatory requirements for all systems at Victaulic’s Production Facilities domestically and globally.

Required:
Design, selection, and installation of equipment for Collection/ Process Ventilation systems for Foundry Dust and General Fume Collection/Ventilation type of systems
Experience with plant balancing, specifying equipment and installation of Dust collection systems, Make-up air systems, general ventilation systems, and Duct work design and installation.
Develop Global standards and procedures for hand-off to Manufacturing operations for operating and maintaining systems to include standard work instructions, compliance control plans, and standard O&M procedures and documentation.
Manage projects by efficiently working with manufacturing operations, safety, environmental, quality, accounting, sourcing, and/or any other internal and external project stakeholders.
Audit, support and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards/requirements.
Design, selection, and installation of equipment for Compressed air and Cooling water systems to include piping, compressors, chillers, cooling towers, and other related equipment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree – Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with practical experience
Experience/Skills:
3-5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing facilities environment, foundry experience is a plus.
Strong background/knowledge in the design, development, and installation of Plant Ventilation and Dust/Fume Collection Systems
Working knowledge or experience of ACGIH Industrial Ventilation standards and practices.
Working knowledge of pipe sizing for compressed air, natural gas, water systems and related equipment is a plus.
Ability to read, interpret and create drawings, specifications, and other information required to support design and development of construction documentation from concept through full implementation of a project.
General knowledge of, or ability to learn, national and local building codes, Environmental, OSHA and/or application of codes governed by other Domestic and International localities.
Experience working with outside contractors to include competitive bid process, responding to RFI’s, issue addendums, process change orders and any related task required by the process.
Due to the broad nature of Facility Engineering projects, having basic knowledge in the following engineering disciplines are beneficial: Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Environmental, and Foundry Operations
Strong skills in the following software: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project or related project management software
Personal Attributes:
Engineer will need strong skills in equipment/process design, problem solving, and new process development and ability to multitask multiple projects simultaneously.
Must possess good organization and communication skills and capable of working effectively whether independently or with others in Teams.
Willingness to work outside normal working days/hours to support Facility/Plant Emergencies and/or work with project teams both domestically and Internationally across different time zones.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required
