Job summary

ProSight Talent, LLC, in Coastal Georgia, is seeking a seasoned Facilities & Mechanical Maintenance Manager to oversee mechanical facilities, utility systems and wastewater treatment equipment in a highly automated automotive manufacturing environment.

You will lead a team of 20+ technicians, manage budgets, schedule preventive maintenance, drive reliability improvements and collaborate with production engineers to ensure safe, efficient plant operations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • More than 10 years of mechanical facilities management experience within an automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading a team of more than 20 employees.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, technical specifications and system documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical facilities, utility systems and maintenance processes.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Facilities & Mechanical Maintenance Manager

ProSight is proud to partner with a leading auto manufacturer in Coastal Georgia in the search for an experienced Facilities & Mechanical Maintenance Manager. This leader will oversee mechanical facilities, utility systems and wastewater treatment plant equipment within a highly automated manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do
Facilities and Utility Management
  • Coordinate, monitor and perform activities related to facilities management, ensuring operational goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Audit utility machinery and operating conditions, identify potential concerns and recommend appropriate maintenance actions.
  • Oversee the planning, installation, inspection, corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance of utility and wastewater treatment equipment.
  • Manage mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components associated with air compressors, compressed-air dryers, HVAC systems, piping, chillers, pumps, cooling towers and generators.
  • Support new facility construction by managing equipment planning, installation, inspection, testing and employee training.
  • Inspect utility equipment and facilities to identify malfunctions, wear, misalignment, defective components and deterioration.
  • Respond to work requests and service calls while supporting the broader needs of the organization.
  • Provide project support through troubleshooting, technical expertise, sketches and computer-generated designs for machinery and facility components.
  • Control and coordinate planned maintenance and shutdown activities to ensure equipment remains in optimal condition.
  • Lead utility machinery operations, including purchasing, maintenance, repair, inventory, transportation, storage and cleaning.
  • Review and prepare maintenance reports, including machinery failure analyses.
  • Develop and revise preventive and scheduled maintenance plans to improve reliability and reduce equipment failures.
  • Prepare budgets for machinery improvements and facility maintenance initiatives.
  • Establish strong working relationships with suppliers, contractors and equipment manufacturers.
  • Collaborate regularly with production engineers and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare the facility and maintenance organization for audits and quality inspections.
  • Administer and comply with all applicable business, environmental and safety management requirements.
  • Prioritize objectives and implement strategies that support company-wide initiatives.
  • Drive collaboration across the organization to identify operational needs and develop scalable solutions.
Budget and Spare Parts Management
  • Manage and monitor the purchasing, distribution and inventory control of maintenance materials, tools, spare parts and related supplies.
  • Develop, manage and analyze the annual maintenance budget, including monthly planning, forecasting and budget allocation.
  • Ensure appropriate spare-parts availability while maintaining effective inventory controls.
Team Leadership
  • Lead a team of more than 20 employees within the Facilities Management function.
  • Manage organizational needs involving recruitment, performance evaluations, employee development, corrective action and conflict resolution.
  • Clearly communicate departmental direction, company decisions and official information to team members.
  • Evaluate, mentor and develop employees while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee maintenance performance indicators and the training and evaluation of Facilities Management team members.

Minimum Qualifications
  • More than 10 years of mechanical facilities management experience within an automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading a team of more than 20 employees.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, technical specifications and system documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical facilities, utility systems and maintenance processes.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • More than five years of mechanical facilities management experience within a major U.S. automotive manufacturing organization.
  • Mechanical or electrical certifications.
  • Extensive experience with equipment installations, including design review, documentation, inspection, testing and implementation of new or modified equipment and processes.
  • Experience managing facility maintenance budgets, spare-parts inventories and preventive maintenance programs.
