Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Entry Mechanical Engineer I to support design of new infrastructure and buildings under a licensed engineer. This role targets candidates who have passed the FE exam and aim to obtain a PE license while contributing to high-quality mechanical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities include creating drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and assisting with schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of new infrastructure and buildings under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
• Assist in the production of design and construction documents, including mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Conduct research and provide support for mechanical design solutions and concepts. For systems including HVAC, Chilled Water, Compressed Air, etc.
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with project standards.
• Support the coordination of project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Stay informed of industry trends, technologies, and advancements to contribute to project innovation.
• Prepare for and pursue a Professional Engineering license after gaining the required experience.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on best practices and design principles.
