Blue Origin is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer II to support the design of new infrastructure and buildings under the guidance of a licensed engineer in Merritt Island, FL. The role targets candidates who have passed the FE exam and aspire to PE licensure, contributing to high-quality mechanical design documentation and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
• Proficiency in mechanical engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of new infrastructure and buildings under a licensed engineer.
• Assist in production of design and construction documents and drawings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align with project goals.
• Conduct research and provide support for mechanical design solutions (HVAC, CWS, compressed air).
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Support coordination of schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Stay informed on industry trends and project innovation.
• Prepare for and pursue a PE license after gaining experience.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices and design principles.
