Job summary

The University of New Hampshire is seeking a skilled facilities technician to install, maintain, and repair building system components such as motors, pumps, bearings, and fan coils. The role supports a 24/7/365 operation with potential schedule flex, including early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work to meet campus needs.

You'll respond to service calls, perform preventative maintenance, document work in IWMS, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

One year of combined education, certifications, and work experience in building mechanics, including diagnosing problems with mechanical drives, fans, motors, and bearings.
Experience with pumps and motors maintenance, and shaft/seal repairs is preferred.
Familiarity with safety procedures and use of PPE is required.

Responsibilities

Respond to service calls and requests related to operation, repair, maintenance and installation of building mechanical equipment.
Ensure work quality meets codes and safety requirements.
Troubleshoot minor and complex finishes and provide expert solutions.
Record work, materials, and time in the work management software.
May participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies outside normal hours.
Perform related duties as assigned.
