Job summary

Sun Tran in Tucson, AZ is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance and repair of all facilities, including transit centers and admin buildings. This leadership role ensures safety and efficiency, with budget oversight and staff supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in facilities or construction management, plus supervisory experience. CDL or related credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college, technical training, or coursework in facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of three years of facilities, building maintenance, or construction management experience and at least one year of supervisory or lead experience is required.
• Experience managing vendor contracts budgets, and preventative maintenance programs is preferred.
• A FMP, CFM, or a valid Class B CDL (or ability to obtain one) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of all facilities, ensuring timely repairs, preventative maintenance and safety compliance.
• Manage vendor contracts (janitorial, landscaping, etc.) and monitor performance to ensure service level expectations are met.
• Supervise Facilities Technicians, assign tasks, manage schedules and evaluate staff performance.
• Track and manage the facilities operating budget, prepare reports for department leadership.
• Support departmental initiatives and safety programs in coordination with the Director of Facilities and Maintenance.
