Job summary

United Way of King County is seeking a Building Manager to oversee facilities operations, safety, and space planning. You will lead mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, supervise one employee, and ensure a clean, secure work environment for staff and visitors on-site during normal business hours.

Daily duties include preventive maintenance programs, vendor and contract management, budget tracking, and ensuring OSHA/ADA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of facilities or property management experience.
• Experience managing commercial office buildings or nonprofit facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of office buildings and facilities.
• Oversee maintenance and repair activities to ensure safety and security.
• Develop understanding of building systems and preventive maintenance plans.
• Maintain records of building maintenance and inspections.
• Oversee vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
• Monitor budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
