Welltower, a $70B S&P 500 company with both residential and medical office portfolios, is seeking an energetic leader with mechanical and analytical skills to head the newly formed facilities team responsible for property systems and energy savings. Reporting to the Vice President of Facilities, this role will collaborate closely with the ESG team to identify and implement initiatives aimed at reducing energy and water consumption. The department will oversee property systems including elevators, HVAC, fire suppression, call boxes, and generators. Welltower is building a comprehensive operating platform with asset management and self-management capabilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate property systems and ensure preventative maintenance is in place.
• Create specifications for energy-efficient property systems.
• Participate in developing resource management plans to reduce resource consumption.
• Identify resource-saving initiatives and prepare proposals.
• Guide site teams during emergency situations.
• Maintain assets according to Welltower’s standards, safety standards, and regulations.
• Assist in creating 10-year capital plans for assets.
• Ensure capital work meets Welltower’s standards.
• Support strategic capital spending initiatives and prepare management recommendations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

TRAVEL

This role requires travel across Welltower’s asset locations to ensure success.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; engineering degree a plus.
• 6+ years of experience in construction, maintenance, facilities management, or related fields; experience with PV panels, energy, and water-saving projects is advantageous.
• Ability to analyze and calculate financial returns of initiatives.
• Strong planning and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, proficiency in Excel and other tracking software.
• Self-motivated team player capable of collaborating with stakeholders.
