We are partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Greater Philadelphia area seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee plant infrastructure, utilities, and critical building systems that support around-the-clock production operations.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a complex manufacturing site, driving reliability, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across all facility and utility systems. The role focuses on the management and optimization of HVAC, compressed air, refrigeration, steam, chilled water, electrical distribution, and other critical plant infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the maintenance, operation, and reliability of facility infrastructure and utility systems.
- Manage critical site utilities including HVAC, compressed air, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, steam, electrical distribution, and building systems.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
- Manage facility technicians, contractors, and third-party service providers.
- Drive energy efficiency and utility cost reduction initiatives.
- Plan, scope, and execute facility-related capital projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to support production goals.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and long-term facility improvement plans.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, sustainability, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Experience leading facilities, utilities, plant engineering, or infrastructure functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, steam, chilled water, and facility systems.
- Track record of managing maintenance teams, contractors, and capital projects.
- Understanding of industrial safety, environmental compliance, and utility reliability best practices.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, chemicals, packaging, or industrial manufacturing is highly desirable.
