Job summary

University of Georgia seeks a Facility Manager for the Savannah River Ecology Lab in Augusta area. You will interface with contractors providing DOE-facilitated facility services and oversee planning and safety parameters for complex renovations.

Qualifications

• Requires a baccalaureate degree in the field.
• HVAC knowledge with 5+ years of related experience.
• 1 year of management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate new construction, remodels, and installations with contractors and vendors.
• Supervise contractors for safety and compliance.
• Directly oversee the SREL maintenance and facility department, including staff training and evaluations.
• Interact with the Department of Energy as the primary cooperator and ensure compliance with FSA terms.
• Oversee the SREL state vehicle inventory, mileage logs, and maintenance scheduling.
• Assist facilities and maintenance mechanics with upkeep of SREL facilities.
• Oversee the facilities department budget and annual expenditures.
