Job summary

The University of Georgia’s Savannah River Ecology Lab seeks a Facility Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of its facilities. You will coordinate with contractors, supervise the maintenance team, and ensure safety and compliance with DOE agreements.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field.
• HVAC / Electrical knowledge with at least 5 years of related experience.
• 1 year management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate new construction, remodels, and installations with contractors and vendors.
• Supervise contractors who perform work for SREL and ensure safety parameters.
• Serve as direct manager of the SREL maintenance and facility department, including supervision and scheduling.
• Interact with the Department of Energy and ensure compliance with Functional Service Agreements (FSA's).
• Provide technical expertise to SREL management when FSAs are negotiated bi-annually.
• Oversee state vehicle inventory, mileage, maintenance, and log updates.
• Assist facilities and maintenance mechanics with upkeep of SREL facilities.
• Oversee the facilities department budget and annual requests.
