Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County is seeking a full-time Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, cleaning, and operations at the Lockport, NY office. You will manage staff, coordinate with engineers and contractors, ensure safety compliance, and prepare facility plans and budgets.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to work with a diverse team in a public-building setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education; associates degree plus 2 years substitutable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain facility plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee maintenance, cleaning, and grounds operations for safe facilities.
• Supervise facilities staff; assign duties and provide training.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for projects and repairs.
• Ensure OSHA/PESHA safety regulations are followed.
• Prepare reports and keep records for facilities, equipment, and grounds.
• Assist in contract negotiations and risk management approvals.
• Plan emergency preparedness and security measures.
