Facilities Manager

Position Summary
Hounen Solar America is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, compliance, and continuous improvement of the manufacturing facility's infrastructure and utility systems. This position will manage facility operations, contractors, utility systems, regulatory compliance, and government-related matters to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operation
- Manage daily operations of the facility and utility systems, including electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, chillers, cooling systems, water systems, and other plant infrastructure
- Ensure facility equipment operates safely and reliably with minimal downtime
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for facility systems
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, EPA, local building codes, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Coordinate facility inspections, permits, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain relationships with local authorities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies
Project Management
- Support facility construction, expansion, equipment installation, and commissioning projects
- Manage contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
Budget & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage facility operating budget
- Oversee service contracts, preventive maintenance agreements, and contractor performance
Leadership
- Lead and develop the Facilities team
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, EHS, and Quality departments to support manufacturing operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of facilities or industrial maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing facility utility systems and building infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and industrial safety regulatio
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and capital projec
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in solar, semiconductor, battery, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing industr
- Experience with greenfield/start-up manufacturing facilities
- Experience working with local governments, utility companies, and regulatory agencies
- Knowledge of CMMS and preventive maintenance systems
- PMP, IFMA FMP/CFM, or similar certifications are a plus
