Job summary

Wendys Delight Restaurant Group in Virginia Beach is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for multiple restaurant locations in the market.

You will lead preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and basic electrical/plumbing systems, and manage vendor relationships to stay within budget while ensuring safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities, maintenance, or technical experience (restaurant or multi-unit preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Virginia Beach area.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC systems, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, basic electrical and plumbing systems.
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo or similar system.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.

This role requires a strong technician or facilities leader who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and partnering closely with Operations to ensure efficient and safe restaurant operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for:

• Commercial refrigeration
• Kitchen equipment
• Basic electrical and plumbing systems
