Job summary

Wendys Delight Restaurant Group in Virginia Beach is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for restaurant locations. You will work in the field, diagnose issues, and partner with Operations to keep restaurants safe and running smoothly.

Responsibilities include managing preventive maintenance, HVAC and refrigeration systems, kitchen equipment, and basic electrical/plumbing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities, maintenance, or technical experience in a multi-unit setting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Hands-on diagnostic and repair ability.
• Valid driver’s license and local travel within Virginia Beach area.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC systems.
• Support refrigeration and kitchen equipment maintenance.
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing systems and determine internal vs vendor repairs.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo or similar system.

• Collaborate with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.

This role requires a strong technician or facilities leader who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and partnering closely with Operations to ensure efficient and safe restaurant operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for:
• HVAC systems
• Commercial refrigeration
• Kitchen equipment
• Basic electrical and plumbing systems
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.
