Job summary

Flex, a diversified manufacturing partner, seeks a Facilities Manager in Memphis, TN. Reporting to the Sr Facilities & MRO Manager, you will apply engineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, and processes used in manufacturing products.

The role covers guiding projects, maintaining performance standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams in a cgmp environment. 6+ years' experience and a Bachelor's in Engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 6+ years of related experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Matter Expertise in clean rooms, Walk-in Coolers & Freezers, RO/DI Water systems, Waste Neutralization, Compressed gas distribution systems, vacuum systems, Process chillers and non-clean utilities.
• Manufacturing plant construction in a cGMP industry.
• Facilities Engineering construction activity at MEP discipline.
• Fault/Root Cause Analysis and FRACAS.
• Utilities (steam, cooling media, heating media, water systems, compressed air).

Responsibilities

• Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs.
• Research engineering proposals and related technical data for industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
• Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs and time.
• Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing techniques and materials.
• Compiles and researches facilities data to establish performance standards.
• Studies engineering publications to stay informed on industry changes.
• Uses CAD/CAE software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Guides projects and project teams.

Reporting to the Sr Facilities & MRO Manager, the Facilities Manager applies engineering values to design, modify or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment, or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.

What a typical day looks like:

• Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
• Research engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
• Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors.
• Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
• Compiles and research facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
• Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Guides projects and project teams.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 6+ years of related experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Matter Expertise in one or more of the following areas: clean rooms, Walk-in Coolers & Freezers, RO/DI Water systems, Waste Neutralization, Compressed gas distribution systems, vacuum systems, Process chillers and non-clean utilities.
• Manufacturing plant construction in a cGMP industry.
• Facilities Engineering construction activity at MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Process) discipline.
• Fault/Root Cause Analysis and Review (FRACAS).
• Utilities (steam, cooling media, heating media, water systems, compressed air).
