Job Summary

To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Facilities Engineer located in Illinois Libertyville Harris.

Reporting to the Sr Facilities Manager, the Sr. Facilities Engineer will manage, coordinate, and oversee various functions for the facilities organization including maintenance and alteration of office, manufacturing, warehouse, truck yards, parking, landscaped areas, and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of the aforementioned facilities.

Typical Daily Responsibilities

• Control inter-building communication installations and maintenance.
• Supervise maintenance and alteration of all areas and equipment within the building(s), including layouts and housekeeping.
• Oversee cafeteria and/or food service operations.
• Analyze and standardize facilities procedures to improve efficiencies.
• Define work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Assign duties to subordinates and ensure work conforms to policies and procedures.
• Perform tasks related to the facilities unit as needed.
• Coordinate purchase orders within budget and file monthly reports.
• Manage design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of building structures and infrastructure.
• Other duties as assigned.

Higher Grade Responsibilities

• Inspect plant and evaluate use of space and facilities.
• Evaluate HVAC systems, wiring, lighting, and other factors.
• Plan and budget regional facilities modifications.
• Develop long-range plans and documentation for facilities.
• Coordinate proposals, contracts, and specifications.
• Act as liaison with utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
• Oversee construction and installation progress.
• Review real estate contracts for compliance and suitability.
• Manage building space allocation and communication services.
• Oversee maintenance personnel and facility safety programs.
• Oversee contracted cleaning services.
• Complete necessary reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, related degree, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in facilities engineering or related field, including supervision.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations preferred.
• Industry expertise and mastery of multiple areas.
• Ability to present information to top management.

Pay Range (Illinois): $98,600.00 - $135,600.00 USD annually
