Job summary

Bürkert Group is seeking a Facilities Coordinator/Manager to shape the success of our NC operations. You will coordinate emergency plans, manage contractors, control budgets, and drive safe, efficient facilities maintenance at our Huntersville site.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on safety and cost-effective facilities management in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Emergency Action Plan and emergency responses including risk assessments, SOPs, maps, signage, evacuation plans, sheltering, lock downs, severe weather, workplace violence, terrorism, and hazards.
  • Oversee contractors and team responsible for building, grounds, interiors, furnishings, fixtures and non-production equipment for maintenance, repair, replacement, and energy efficiency.
  • Manage building cost center approvals (expense and capitalized).
  • Lead work structure and tasks for Facilities apprentices.
  • Manage and review service contracts.
  • Ensure the facility is clean and maintained per policy.
  • Ensure safe and adequate quality of work for all vendors and contractors.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate contractor personnel to ensure efficient completion of contracted needs.
  • Evaluate bids, materials, punch lists, warranties, change orders, and time requests to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the Coordinator of Emergency Action Plan and emergency responses including risk assessments, SOPs, maps, signage, evacuation plans, sheltering, lock downs, harsh weather events, workplace violence, terrorism, natural hazards, property conservation, etc.
  • Manages contractors and team members responsible for building, grounds, interior spaces, furnishings, fixtures and non-production equipment for normal maintenance, repair, replacement, and energy efficiency.
  • Responsible for Building cost center approvals both expense and capitalized.
  • Responsible for lead work structure and task for assigned Facilities apprentices.
  • Manages and reviews service contracts.
  • Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
  • Ensures safe and adequate quality of work for all vendors and contractors.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates prospective contractor personnel to ensure efficient completion of the contracted need.
  • Evaluates bids, materials, punch lists, warranties, change order costs and additional time requests from vendors and/or contractors with a critical eye to ensure quality and the project comes in on time and within budget.
