Job summary

Wendy's is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for restaurant locations in the Virginia Beach market. This role requires a strong technician or facilities leader who thrives in the field and partners closely with Operations to ensure efficient and safe restaurant operation.

You will manage preventative maintenance programs, diagnose and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment, and determine when to use internal teams or approved

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities, maintenance, or technical experience (restaurant or multi-unit preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the Virginia Beach area.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC systems.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for commercial refrigeration.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for kitchen equipment.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for basic electrical and plumbing systems.
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.
