Job summary

SkillSetGroup is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead all facility and equipment maintenance for a metals processing site in Irvine, CA. You will direct a small maintenance team and collaborate with external contractors to ensure uptime and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, with certifications such as CFM or FMP considered a plus; 1st shift and direct hire.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of facilities management, building operations, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs, contractors, and vendors.
• Knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, and workplace safety compliance.
• Strong budgeting, project management, and contract negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facilities operations, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
• Supervise facilities personnel, maintenance technicians, and external contractors.
• Oversee cleaning, security, waste management, pest control, and groundskeeping services.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, fire safety, and building regulations.
• Develop and manage facilities budgets, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
• Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, equipment records, work orders, and inventory using CMMS/CAFM software.

This position will be overseeing all facility & equipment maintenance operations for a metals processing facility. The chosen candidate must have proved experience leading all day-to-day maintenance duties for a small maintenance team. Strong knowledge of industrial HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems is also a must. FMP of CFM certifications are a plus. This will be a 1st shift position and a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
