Position Information

Under the direction of the Resident Director: manage facilities operations at the scenic 9000-acre Sweeney Granite Mountains Desert Research Center located 180 miles northeast of the UCR campus. Maintain, improve and protect facilities, natural landscapes and systems that benefit and support on-going research and teaching programs. These include structures, utilities, vehicles, roads, trails, fences, and other infrastructure. Coordinate daily operational aspects of the GMDRC, such as user management and administration, construction contractor and vendor services, patrolling, purchasing and deliveries, museum curation, and facilitating events and meetings. There is one position available at various levels for the Facilities Management Specialist recruitment. The hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. This position is also posted as Facilities Management Specialist 2, Job #37704104. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $78,428.97 - $93,966.57 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
