The University of California, Riverside is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain and beautify the campus grounds. This position involves working with a team of landscape professionals to ensure the grounds are welcoming and safe for visitors. Applicants must have a High School Diploma and some experience in grounds maintenance.
Responsibilities include the care of outdoor landscapes, use of landscaping tools, and effective communication with campus customers. This role may require physical stamina and flexibility to accommodate various schedules.
Facilities Services is recruiting for multiple Groundskeepers. The full salary range for the Groundskeeper position is $21.05 - $29.47 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $25.00 up to $29.47 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Reporting to the Landscape Grounds Supervisor in the Facilities Services Environmental Resource Services Department, the Groundskeeper is on a team of landscape professionals who perform various landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks throughout the University of California, Riverside campus. The Groundskeeper provides service to campus customers in maintaining the grounds surrounding the many buildings and facilities, outdoor gathering areas, walkways, building entrances, and hard and soft landscapes of the campus. The Groundskeeper has a shared responsibility of keeping the campus beautiful, clean, welcoming, and safe for visitors, students, faculty, and staff. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
