Tulsa Health Department seeks a Facilities Maintenance Worker/Floor Tech to clean and perform minor maintenance at North Regional Health & Wellness Center and related sites in Tulsa County.

Responsibilities include floor care (sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing), restroom upkeep, handling hazardous materials safely, minor repairs, and occasional snow/ice removal. Requires high school diploma and 1+ year janitorial experience with a valid Oklahoma driver's license.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: One or more years of experience in janitorial or related work required.
• Licenses: Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing and vacuuming floors.
• General preventative maintenance and minor repairs of the building.
• Maintain cleanliness of lavatories and examination rooms.
• Replenish paper towels and soap in washrooms and other areas.
• Monitor cleanliness of buildings and grounds and handle hazardous materials safely.
• Assist in moving equipment and furniture as needed.
• Maintain lighting/air conditioning filters and vents.
• Assist with snow and ice removal when necessary.
• Complete required training and support emergency operations.

Performs sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing and vacuuming duties on building floors.2. Performs general preventative maintenance and corrective repair of the building to maintain attractive and safe buildings and grounds.3. Maintains cleanliness of lavatories, examination rooms and washrooms.4. Maintains and refills paper towel and soap dispensers in washrooms, examination rooms and other lavatory areas.5. Experience: One or more years of experience in janitorial or related work required. Previous experience maintaining floors (stripping, waxing, etc.) preferred. Licenses: Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license. **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS** • Knowledge of what constitutes hazardous chemical and biological materials and wastes and safety procedures needed to safely handle such materials. • Must possess the ability to drive at night. **INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:** • Internal contact with all personnel regarding maintenance requests and shipments. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:** Direct Supervision: None.
