Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Utility Worker to support the maintenance department in keeping the location building and equipment systems in top shape. Responsibilities include plant cleaning, painting, loading/unloading, and operating industrial equipment with on-the-job training provided.

The role offers a standard Monday–Friday work week with occasional night/ weekend overtime. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, floor scrubbers, scissor lifts).
• Experience using basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Utilize equipment to perform plant cleaning operations (floor scrubbers, lint/dust removal, trash removal, equipment cleaning).
• Perform painting tasks throughout the plant or exterior areas.
• Operate forklifts/lifts to relocate materials.
• Assist loading/unloading trucks and production receiving activities.
• Perform facilities upkeep including landscaping, snow removal, and other removal operations.
• Conduct light equipment maintenance and routine checks after training.
• May operate company vehicles after proper training.
