Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Utility Worker to join our team. You will assist with maintaining the location building, equipment systems, and performing basic plant utility tasks, painting, loading/unloading deliveries, and cleaning.

A Monday–Friday week with overtime is typical, and on‑the‑job training is provided to develop skills. You’ll use floor scrubbers, lifts, and basic tools while supporting loading activities and facility upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and basic hand tools.
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret procedures in English.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize equipment to perform plant cleaning operations including floor scrubbers and cleaning devices.
• Paint tasks throughout the plant or facility grounds.
• Operate forklifts to relocate materials and assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Assist with production receiving activities and facilities upkeep.
• Perform light equipment maintenance and routine inspections after training.
