Bergen County, Division of Family Guidance, seeks a Building Maintenance Worker for the Youth Complex/Juvenile Detention Center to perform cleaning and basic repairs across offices, living spaces, and common areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning, floor care, window washing, and occasional minor repairs. A valid NJ driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required, with flexibility across shifts.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate recording systems used by the agency.
• Valid NJ driver’s license required.

Responsabilidades

• Cleans rooms, offices, cafeterias, living quarters, halls, gymnasiums, laboratories, auditoriums, hospital wards, bathrooms and restrooms.
• Washes and cleans windows, sweeps, washes, strips, waxes, and polishes floors; vacuums rugs.
• May make minor repairs to heating, electrical, and other systems; services bathrooms/restrooms.
• Keeps essential records and files.
• Moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds and works from ladders/scaffolding to change bulbs or blinds.
• Occasionally works on ladders to change light bulbs or replace venetian blinds.
