Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician in Riverdale, NJ. The role involves maintaining and repairing facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling craft skills.

You will follow maintenance schedules, inspect equipment, and respond to emergency maintenance calls at a busy retail store. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+, and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
• Can move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills and tools to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
