Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair store facilities, equipment, and assets. You will work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following maintenance schedules, performing inspections, and using a variety of tools to complete jobs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in different temperatures.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills and hand/power tools.
• Utilize the work order system to receive repair requests and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment safely.
