Job summary

Peaceful Pines Senior Living is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to support preventive maintenance systems, daily operations, and safety compliance. The role reports to the Executive Director and requires hands-on maintenance across building systems and grounds.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience, be able to lift up to 50 pounds (possibly 100), and pass a TB test as required by state regulations. This is a full-time position based in Brookings, SD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years facility maintenance experience.
• Must submit to TB test as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize defined processes and follow safety regulations.
• Read and follow technical manuals and documents.
• Complete routine maintenance and repairs on the facility.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections per checklist.
• Coordinate projects and work orders efficiently.
• Maintain maintenance logs per licensure requirements.
• Transport residents to events and appointments.
• Perform lawn care, gardening, and snow/ice removal.
• Assist in disaster plan procedures and training.
• Provide training to staff on maintenance and safety.
• Arrange furniture and equipment for events and move-ins/outs.
• Install and maintain system components for safety and operations.
• Keep company vehicles and tools in safe condition.
• Attend meetings and training for safety and operations.
