Job summary

YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facilities and grounds. This hands-on leadership role ensures buildings remain safe, welcoming, and functional for staff, clients, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities include coordinating preventative maintenance, managing repairs and projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 37.5 hours weekly, $25/hour, on-site in Harrisburg, PA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and grounds maintenance.
• Strong understanding of safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, ADA, fire codes).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving history.
• Must be able to provide Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities and grounds.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs; supervise work orders.
• Assist with contractor quotes and project planning.
• Ensure facilities are safe, clean, functional, and welcoming.
• Monitor inspections for safety compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and compliance checks.
• Coordinate landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and exterior upkeep.
