Job summary

YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facilities and grounds. This hands-on leadership role coordinates preventative maintenance, manages repairs and improvement projects, and maintains a safe, welcoming environment for staff, clients, residents, and visitors.

Hours are 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm) with some on-call. Salary is $25/hr.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years in facilities maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Strong safety and regulatory compliance knowledge (OSHA, ADA, fire codes).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficient with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving history.
• Must be able to provide Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances.

Responsibilities

• Monitor repairs and maintenance of building equipment and systems, including HVAC, water, electric, generators, and fire alarms.
• Ensure facilities meet building codes and securing related permits, licenses, and inspections.
• Assist with contractor quotes as directed.
• Maintain a safe environment and high-quality facilities for staff, clients, residents, and visitors.
• Complete work orders for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate regular inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain maintenance records and schedules.
• Coordinate landscaping and groundskeeping to keep the exterior well‑maintained year‑round.
• Oversee exterior equipment and fixtures such as parking lots, signage, and lighting.

The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a full-time FacilityMaintenance Technicianto oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of our facilities and grounds. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for ensuring our buildings remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for staff, clients, residents, and visitors. The Facility Maintenance Technician coordinates preventative maintenance, manages repairs and improvement projects, and helps maintain a secure and well‑maintained environment that supports the YWCA’s mission and daily operations.

Position Details:

• Hours: 37.5 hour work week; Monday-Friday 8am-4pm; some on-call as needed.
• Salary: $25/hr.

Successful Candidates Will:

• Monitorrepairs and maintenance of building equipment and systems, including but not limited to: HVAC, water, electric, emergency generators, fire alarms, etc.
• Reviewfacilities to ensure they meet all building codes and standards and securing all facility-related permits, licenses, and inspections.
• Assistwith contractor quotes as directed.
• EnsureYWCA facilities and equipment provide a quality, safe environment.
• Completework orders for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate and monitor regular inspections of the facility (including fire alarms, safety equipment, elevators, etc.) to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and compliance checks.
• Coordinate and conduct landscaping and groundskeeping activities, including lawn care, snow removal, and trash disposal, to ensure that the exterior of the building is well‑maintained year‑round.
• Ensure proper maintenance of outdoor equipment and fixtures (e.g., parking lots, signage, lighting).

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, property management, or a related field.
