Job summary

Derby Park Flea Market in Louisville, KY is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the flea market property. You will perform routine repairs, assist customers and vendors, coordinate with contractors, and manage supplies and invoices to support daily operations.

Responsibilities include trash removal, RV parking assistance, preventative maintenance, minor electrical/plumbing work, and basic landscaping.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment, including forklifts.
• Basic problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and functional property.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, email, and other business software.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly trash collection and disposal to maintain cleanliness.
• Assist customers with RV parking and direct them to designated areas.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and property inspections.
• Operate forklifts and other maintenance equipment as required.
• Maintain restrooms, cleaning, stocking supplies, minor plumbing repairs.
• Perform minor electrical repairs, including repairing outlets.
• Order maintenance supplies and materials.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for services.
• Respond to maintenance requests and general repairs.
• Review and approve maintenance invoices.
• Complete minor construction, installation, and repair projects.
• Maintain overall property cleanliness and appearance.
• Perform basic landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Perform other duties to support daily operations.
