Staffmark in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician for a direct hire. Pay rate $25.00 – $30.00 per hour. Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems to keep operations running safely. The role requires reading safety procedures, following work orders, and daily local travel. You will perform preventive maintenance, minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks, and use

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade certification preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures, manuals, and work orders.
• Daily local travel required.

Responsabilités

• Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs according to work orders.
• Perform minor plumbing tasks (unclog drains, repair leaks, replace fixtures).
• Complete routine carpentry and painting tasks (patch drywall, match paint, small repairs).
• Conduct minor electrical repairs allowed by state law (replace outlets, switches, lighting components).
• Perform HVAC, equipment, and building system checks as needed.
• Conduct site and asset inspections.
• Use a tablet/smartphone to complete work orders, log notes, upload photos, and submit reports.
• Maintain tools, obtain materials, and track expenses.
• Communicate professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Attend required safety training and follow OSHA and company safety standards.
• Provide estimates for larger repairs or projects.
