Job summary

Children's Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Worker to maintain buildings, grounds, and respond to maintenance requests at our Rapid City location.

This role offers a Mon-Fri schedule, competitive pay of $20.00 to $25.00 per hour DOE, and benefits including health coverage, retirement plans, and PTO. Join a trauma-informed, mission-driven team committed to equity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school degree required.
• Minimum two years experience in building/mechanical trades preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, grounds, and facilities with inspections and repairs.
• Perform general maintenance such as painting, carpentry, light electrical and plumbing.
• Ensure safe operation of agency vehicles, tools, and systems.
• Support landscaping, snow removal, and event setup.
• Identify and report maintenance needs and manage work orders.
• Coordinate materials and tools to support operations.
• Provide professional, friendly service to staff, clients and visitors.
• Participate in team meetings and required training; lift up to 50 pounds.
